BetNow rules that change the maths
- Lower of risk or win. On a winning bet, only the smaller of your stake and your profit counts. A $100 bet at -200 that wins counts $50.
- What doesn’t count. Moneylines shorter than -400 don’t count at all. Live bets and baseball count half, and Prop Builder bets don’t count.
- Promo Bucks. They go on straight bets and teasers between -250 and +150, and only the winnings are paid.
- Use it or lose it. If you don’t use the deposit or the bonus within 14 days, BetNow can take the bonus back.
Our pick is WELCOME25, or WELCOME30 if you deposit crypto. They’re the only BetNow codes with a rollover small enough to come close to break-even in the ranker below. CASH100 looks bigger, but on a $500 deposit it asks for $25,000 of rollover. Once the lower of risk or win rule counts, that’s over $26,000 of real betting and about $1,180 in juice on average. How to read it
- Back on average. What you’d walk away with on average once the bonus is cleared, deposit included. The dashed line is betting your deposit once with no bonus.
- Betting needed. The real amount you’d have to bet. It’s more than the headline rollover when winning bets only count the lower of the risk or the win, which hits favourites hardest.
- Chance to clear. How often your balance lasts until the rollover is done. For a free bet it’s the chance the bet wins, and for MyBookie’s bet back it’s the chance your first bet loses.
- You bet a lot anyway? If you’d place these bets with or without a bonus, the rollover costs you nothing extra and most offers are worth taking. The ranker assumes you bet only to clear the bonus.
What Is a Free Bet Really Worth?
A $100 free bet isn’t $100. You only get the winnings, so its value depends on the odds you take. Longer odds keep more of it, but every sportsbook caps how far you can go.

On BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag, football free bets go on spreads and totals up to +150, so the most you keep is about 57%. MyBookie’s free play has no odds limit on straight bets, so a +300 underdog keeps about 72% on average, but it only wins about a quarter of the time.

What Counts Toward Sportsbook Rollover
Two books with the same 5x can ask for very different amounts of betting. These are the rules that make the difference.

Why the lower of risk or win matters: bet $100 on a -200 favourite and win, and only $50 counts. If you mostly bet favourites, you need about 47% more betting to clear the same bonus. On underdogs and parlays it makes no difference, because the win is always bigger than the stake.
How to Claim a Sportsbook Promo Code
- Pick the offer first Each sportsbook gives you one welcome offer, so choose between a free bet and a cash match before you deposit.
- Choose card or crypto Crypto often gets a bigger match, sometimes with its own code.
- Enter it before you pay Most codes go in the cashier. Bovada’s bonus is claimed in Rewards, and MyBookie’s bet back is switched on from the bet slip.
- Check it landed Look for the bonus in your balance before your first bet. If it isn’t there, ask support straight away.
- Bet what counts Straight bets at normal prices clear rollover at the lowest cost. Parlays and big favourites make it slower or dearer.

What is the BetNow promo code?

Is a free bet the same as cash?
No. When a free bet wins you get the winnings but not the stake. A $100 free bet at -110 pays about $91 if it wins, and it’s worth about $45 on average.
What does sportsbook rollover mean?
It’s how much you have to bet before you can withdraw. 5x on a $500 deposit with a $250 bonus means $3,750 of bets. Check whether the multiple applies to the deposit plus bonus or the bonus alone.
What does lower of risk or win mean?
On a winning bet, only the smaller of your stake and your profit counts toward rollover. A $100 bet at -200 wins $50, so only $50 counts. BetNow, Bovada and BUSR all use this rule.
